 This trip in the spring of 2004 was my introduction to the African continent. In many ways, the Western Cape is not a proper introduction. The vineyards, incredible coastlines and mild climate are much different that what I expected out of Africa. A wonderful trip but such a long flight (18 hrs).

Kruger National Park, South Africa |

 My second trip to South Africa and this trip was even more spectacular than the first. This trip we were in the north eastern area of South Africa in and around the magnificent Kruger National Park. The highlight of the trip was our wilderness trip where we spent three days hiking in a remote wilderness area of Kruger NP. Just us and two game rangers walking in an area that covered over 70,000 acres.
