W4G/NG-061 Rand Mountain

Short hike along an old logging road at just under a mile with 500' EG (most of it at the beginning). Parking for several vehicles is available at Carey Gap (34.966, -83.131) along Burrells Ford Rd/FS 646. The logging road skirts around the summit to the gap on the far side of the summit, but the logging road it self is well within the activation zone. The summit is typical southern hardwoods and unless you want to make the short sidetrip to the summit, I would suggest using the logging road for a QTH.
