2.5 mile hike along gated forest roads, logging roads and a bit of off-trail. There is plenty of parking at the trail head. About half way in, shortly after passing under the second power line clear cut, you will encounter a No Trespassing sign. The trail is along the edge of game management land and from my research on the county tax assessor site, I was expecting this. It is clear that the land owner does not want you crossing his property. The property line is the ridgeline and it is a short off-trail hike to bypass this corner of his property. Unfortunately the road beyond it has many blowdowns and is slow going before the short off-trail hike to the summit. If you don't mind off-trail hiking, I would consider hiking up the Peach Orchard Branch drainage instead of the ridgeline. There are numerous small creeks and waterfalls and is fairly open woods.
You can turn the hike into a loop by combining this track with my other Wadakoe track plus 0.5 miles of hike along the road.
