2.5 mile hike with 1500' EG along gated FS Road 5103 and a somewhat unmaintained trail. Parking for several vehicles at 35.9374, -82.9824 on TN Hwy 107. The FS Road starts immediately adjacent to private property so don't let that spook you. In 1.1 miles you will come to the intersection with the Brush Creek Trail. The trail follows the very narrow ridgeline all the way to the summit. Great views in the winter time of the surrounding SOTA peaks. The trail was difficult to find at times in the heavy leaf duff, but all you need to do is follow the narrow ridge through open forest. A really nice walk all the way aournd. The last litte knob before the summit was a bit of a snarl due to fire damage from a few years ago, but I cleared it all out on the way down so that should keep us out of the briers.
